Casey Tutors – Terms and Conditions

1. General Terms

• By enrolling in Casey Tutors, students and guardians agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
• Casey Tutors reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms will be communicated to enrolled students and guardians.
• These terms and conditions do not exclude any rights or remedies provided under Australian Consumer Law.

2. Enrolment and Fees

• A completed enrolment form and payment of the first session fee are required to confirm a place.
• Fees must be paid in advance, either weekly, monthly, or per term, as agreed during enrolment.
• A late fee of $10 applies if payment is delayed by more than 7 days.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

• If a student can’t attend a class, please request the recording.
• In the event that Casey Tutors cancels a session, a make-up class will be offered.

4. Attendance and Punctuality

• Students are expected to arrive on time for all sessions.
• Frequent lateness or absence may result in a review of enrolment status.
• If a student wishes to discontinue classes, a minimum of two weeks’ notice is required.

5. Code of Conduct

• Students must behave respectfully towards tutors and fellow students.
• Disruptive behaviour may result in temporary suspension or termination of enrolment without refund.
• Mobile phones must be on silent mode during sessions unless permitted for educational purposes.

6. Academic Integrity

• All work submitted must be the student’s own.
• Plagiarism or any form of cheating will not be acceptable.

7. Privacy Policy

• Personal information collected during enrolment is confidential and used solely for educational purposes.
• Casey Tutors does not share personal information with third parties without consent.

8. Online Classes

• Students must ensure a stable internet connection and a quiet environment for online sessions.
• Cameras must be on throughout the session unless otherwise agreed.
• Sharing of class recordings without permission is prohibited.

9. Rescheduling

• Casey Tutors reserves the right to reschedule classes or conduct online sessions in unavoidable circumstances. Affected students will be notified in advance.
• In cases of significant changes, affected students will be notified and provided with suitable alternatives.
• Students are expected to accommodate reasonable rescheduling requests.

10. Health and Safety

• In-person sessions will follow health and safety protocols as per government guidelines.
• Students displaying symptoms of illness are requested to attend online sessions instead.

11. Right to Cancel Registration

• Casey Tutors reserves the right to cancel a student’s registration in cases of repeated misconduct, serious violations of these terms, or other reasonable grounds.
• In such cases, refunds will be provided.

12. Limitation of Liability

• Casey Tutors’ liability is limited to the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law.
• We are not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings during in-person sessions.
• Academic improvement depends on the student’s effort and adherence to the study plan; no specific grade outcome is guaranteed.

13. Compliance with Australian Consumer Law

• These terms and conditions do not exclude any rights or remedies provided under Australian Consumer Law.
• In case of any conflict between these terms and Australian Consumer Law, the latter shall prevail.

14. Contact and Communication

• All communications regarding scheduling, cancellations, and payments should be directed to the official contact provided at enrolment.
• Response times may vary but are typically within 24-48 hours.

15. Agreement

• By enrolling at Casey Tutors, students and guardians acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.
